I'm in the process of converting a number of plans to the more illustrative landcover plans, as they communicate the intended look of the parks a little better.
This project (converting DTD into WDW's 5th Gate) was originally posted here. In this version you can get a better idea of the nature of the proposed rockwork & landscaping.

Really great job. These transformations would make DTD an amazing theme park that would compete with IoA.
Also, I'm really impressed by your new "illustrative" technique! This is great to see how adding small details like trees or shadows make your plans so immersive. Keep up the good work ;)
Thank, Pascal. Eventually I will do one of these illustrative versions for my plan of your Explorers World park...
You could do next Disney theme park like:
Disney-Warner Bros. Studios Backlot
(Tokyo Disney Resort)
Disneyland New Jersey
Disney's Hollywood Backlot
DisneySEA Paris
Thank you you for these excellents idea and concepts !! I really love your new illustrative technique, it's so much cool and impressive. Much more details than others maps !! I'm french, and I'll be very happy if you could "illustrate" our Disneyland Park or the Walt Disney Studio Park (with much changements in the second one !!) I'll really love it ...
Let me finish to say thank you because of your imagination and creation !! I really love your blog !!
^ Merci beaucoup. I have an in- progress illustrative version of the WDSP redux I posted here, so that should be up sometime this summer.
ever thought of uploading all your theme park ideas to mousebits?
Wow once again brilliant! as pascal said adding small details like trees or shadows make your plans so immersive. To actually see the color and texture of terrain and how the main layout of attractions are placed can really help with a birds eye view of the park. What do you use, how do you do it, amazzzziiiiinnnngggg!!!!!
@ProjectTurtle He uses AutoCAD.
This is one of my favorite ideas of yours! I'm liking the illustrative work you're doing. Keep it up.
Turtle, thank you.
Ron, Always nice to get a comment from a pro. Much appreciated.
Great idea! Are there any sight-line issues with nearby buildings intruding into fantasy? I thought there might be buildings around there.
Hey Jay, In the real world, there would be issues with the Official Hotels when viewed from across the lake. But this is an exercise in fantasy, so those unthemed generic mid-rises would all be razed for parking facilities or a new themed hotel - taking away the visual intrusions.
still thinking of doing pdf files?
What's next?
